What’s good to know when you rent an apartment

When you decide renting a Vienna living apartment via Apartment Vienna you benefit because all apartments are free of commission and premiums. Besides it’s also to mention that:

• Prices quoted are per apartment and are inclusive of VAT. Prices include service charge and WLAN internet connection fee. Energy bills (gas and electricity) are separate to the rent price and are determined by meter readings in each apartment.
• A security deposit is payable within three working days of confirmation of your apartment user agreement. The deposit total depends on the property type. In case of a short notice apartment user agreement, the deposit must be paid no later than at the handover date of the apartment.
• For stays of up to three months (≤90 days) until 30 June 2026 3.2% local tax, from 1 July 2026 5 % local tax and from 1 July 2027 8 % local tax will be charged; the local tax will be charged retrospectively on the net monthly flat fee per month and deducted from the deposit when moving out. For stays of longer than three months (>90 days) no local tax is due or applicable (according to current legislation).
